PhD studentships
- We are accredited from STFC to support STFC supported PhD positions so we receive an allocation of funding for PhD students from them There is a list of potential PhD projects here.
- From time to time, the department also has teaching associateships, which are funded by the university for five years but include teaching obligations. The funding of these positions does not depend on the nationality of the student.
- We also have successfully applied for EPSRC studentships for appropriate mathematical topics. Candidates with mathematical interests may also be eligible to apply for a University studentship for research in Mathematics.

Post-doctoral positions
- We are happy to support applications from suitable candidates for STFC Ernest Rutherford Fellowships in our group. However an STFC quota is in place for the number of applicants we can support. Hence candidates should contact us well in advance (no less than two months) of the deadline. The next application round is expected for September 2022.
