DESCRIPTION:Lattice Boltzmann Equation \nAbstract: The Lattice Boltzmann Equation method represents a relatively novel way of simulating viscous fluid flows. Similar to traditional methods\, we solve for fluid variables on a regular grid. However\, flow variables at a given grid point are reconstructed as moments of a discrete probability density function f(x\,c_k\,t) and there are k=0\,1\,…8 velocity components in the standard D2Q9 lattice arrangement. Programming of the method is reasonably straightforward and the algorithm is readily parallelised.
