“Strong-Field Quantum Electrodynamics and High-Power Lasers”
I will present a non-technical overview of fundamental processes in the presence of an external field produced by an ultra-intense laser. My discussion will focus on the basic quantum intensity effects and the prospects for their observation. Some historical remarks are added where appropriate.
