The Wilson flow in scalar field theory
The Wilson flow is a promising tool to study strongly coupled theories on the lattice. Its remarkable renormalisation properties allow for a meaningful formulation of the energy-momentum tensor on the lattice. The non-perturbative computation of the latter can in turn be used to study IR fixed points, and hence theories beyond the Standard Model. I will introduce the gradient flow and its renormalisation properties in the continuum and on the lattice for phi4-theory. The energy-momentum tensor and Ward identities will be discussed, as well as our most recent results of a renormalisation factor.
