Lattice gauge tensor networks
In the last years, powerful algorithms based on different tensor network ansaetze have been developed and exploited to study equilibrium and out-of-equilibrium properties of correlated quantum systems.
Here we present a novel class of tensor network states -by definition gauge invariant- that efficiently describe lattice gauge theories in the quantum link formulation.
This new approach can be used to efficiently analize abelian and non-abelian lattice gauge theories, ranging from quantum frustrated magnets to high-energy physics related theories.

We present the theoretical construction of lattice gauge tensor network states and some novel results on the equilibrium and of the dynamics of the one dimensional Schwinger model: the characterization of the quantum phase transition and the real time dynamics of the string breaking mechanism.
