Jet Production at High Energy Colliders
The start of LHC Run 2 gives particle collisions at an even greater centre-of-mass energy. This is an exciting opportunity for new physics discoveries, but also poses a problem to our theoretical predictions. The large range of energy scales can damage the convergence of the perturbative expansion through the appearance of logarithms at all orders in the coupling. In this talk, I will describe the solution to this problem offered by the High Energy Jets framework, which is a perturbative framework incorporating these corrections at all orders in the coupling at the matrix-element level which is then implemented as a fully-flexible event generator. I will show comparisons to LHC Run I data illustrating the effect and describe recent developments in the formalism itself.
