From the hadronic phase to the quark-gluon plasma: quarkonia, nucleons, transport
The quark-gluon plasma is currently under investigation at the LHC using relativistic heavy-ion collisions. I will review our work using large-scale simulations of lattice QCD with dynamical quarks to characterise how the deconfinement transition affects nucleons, quarkonia (heavy-quark bound states) and transport (charge diffusion and conductivity).
