“k-String Tension”
I will review and discuss various aspects of k-strings. After a detailed review of both the field theory and string theory results I will discuss a recent work, done together with Daniele Dorigoni and Gabriele Veneziano, where we computed the k-string tension by a method called volume reduction. I will compare the new result for the tension with previous results.
